Going under the knife used to be the only way to significantly tighten saggy skin. At Body Catalyst we offer two advanced non-surgical skin tightening treatments, HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) and radio frequency, which are quickly becoming the preferred way to tighten loose skin caused by ageing, pregnancy, weight loss and even genetics.
HIFU uses a micro-focused ultrasound energy, utilizing 60-70 degree heat, to promote gradual skin tightening and lifting without damaging the outer layers.
Radio Frequency energy stimulates elastin and collagen production through heating the skin to around 38-39 degrees, to visibly tighten, tone and rejuvenate the skin.

HIFU
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) skin tightening treatment is a procedure which is non-invasive that employs focused ultrasound waves to stimulate collagen production in the deeper skin layers. It’s a popular non-surgical alternative for addressing sagging or loose skin on the body, face, neck, and décolletage.
The HIFU treatment, heats the skin to around 60-70 degrees causing the proteins in the area to stiffen and stimulating the production of elastin and collagen to tighten the skin. HIFU uses different cartridges to target different layers of the skin, reaching as deep as the SMAS layer (muscle layer) to lift and contour the skin.
RADIO FREQUENCY
Radio frequency (RF) skin tightening treatment is a non-invasive procedure using electromagnetic waves, heating the skin to 38-39 degrees to stimulate collagen production, enhancing skin elasticity. By delivering RF energy into the deeper skin layers, it generates heat, tightening existing collagen fibers and promoting new collagen formation. This method is favoured for addressing mild to moderate skin laxity on the face and body, offering a safe and no-downtime solution for improving skin tone and reducing wrinkle

PREPARING FOR YOUR TREATMENT
To achieve optimal and long-lasting results, here are a few things you can do pre and post skin tightening treatment.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after your treatment as well as caffeine for at least 2 hours before and after your treatment
- To properly flush out your lymphatic system and eliminate the fat cells, staying hydrated is key. We recommend drinking at least 2 litres of water pre & post procedure.

FAQ
The RF energy penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue and the extracellular matrix where collagen fibres are embedded. The local heating causes an immediate contraction of collagen fibres, and at the same time increases the metabolism of the fibroblasts thereby accelerating the production of new collagen and elastin fibres. The concentration of collagen fibres and the regeneration of the collagen and elastin deposits, tighten the skin layers creating smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.
Yes. Our skin tightening treatments are non-invasive – meaning the treatment does not penetrate the skin so there is no risk of infection or complication. The treatment is pain-free with minimal side effects. All our technology is medical- grade.

Each session can last from 30 – 60 mins depending on the area.
Results can be seen immediately, but for lasting results we recommend having at least 10 sessions.
Our skin tightening treatments are relaxing treatments. You will feel the sensation of heat in the treated area with very little or no discomfort.
We suggest you commence your treatments after you have finished breastfeeding.
You may experience some redness, swelling and heat in the treated area after a procedure, but these symptoms should resolve themselves within 24-48 hours.
