PREPARING FOR YOUR TREATMENT
To achieve optimal and long-lasting results, here are a few things you can do pre and post-treatment.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after your treatment as well as caffeine for at least 2 hours before and after your treatment
- To properly flush out your lymphatic system and eliminate the fat cells, staying hydrated is key. We recommend drinking at least 2 litres of water pre & post procedure.

The TeslaFormer is a powerful technology, offering up to 72,000 pulses per session (the equivalent of 50,000 crunches). The TeslaFormer can deliver 3 Tesla of energy, making it one of the most effective technologies of its kind currently on the market. Like all technologies we use at Body Catalyst, TeslaFormer is non-invasive, medical- grade, safe, and requires no downtime.
Anyone wanting to burn fat and increase muscle tone can use and benefit from this treatment. The TeslaFormer can be used as a body sculpting treatment on most areas of the body where you’d like to build muscle and reduce fat like the ( abdomen, glutes, arms). It is also an effective treatment for post-pregnancy abdominal separation (Diastasis Recti), even years after giving birth. Please ask your therapist if the TeslaFormer Muscle Definer is right for you.
Sessions are 30-45 minutes long, and a minimum of 10 sessions is recommended. Ideally these treatments will be one day apart. Please speak to your therapist about a personalised plan to help you achieve your specific body goals. To maintain results, we recommend one to two maintenance sessions every month.
A TeslaFormer treatment is like a localised workout. You will feel your muscles contracting and releasing. You may even feel great post-treatment due to the releasedof endorphins. Like exercise, you may experience mild muscle soreness or delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) the following day.
Results are visible 2-4 weeks following the last session, and continue to improve for 2-6 weeks following your treatments. Those with an active lifestyle or an athletic background will see results sooner due to muscle memory.
Because TeslaFormer is non-invasive there is no downtime or pre/post treatment preparation. Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) may be experienced.
Those who are pregnant, have been diagnosed with cancer, have a metal implant or have a cardiac pacemaker or medication pump, open wounds near the site of treatment, are under 18, or have a cardiac condition may not use the TeslaFormer. Those with endometriosis or IUD may use the treatment under certain conditions.
